WWRE Integration

The goal of business integration is to increase the effectiveness of a business enterprise by enabling not only business process automation within the enterprise, but also seamless transaction, information sharing, and collaboration with its business partners. Enterprises have moved closer towards this goal as information technology has improved.

WWRE Integration is an integration infrastructure that seamlessly ties WWRE's solutions into members' back-end systems. WWRE Integration consists of best-of-breed Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and Business-to-Business (B2B) integration technologies.

The fundamental value proposition of WWRE Integration is to facilitate end-to-end real-time paperless electronic commerce between members' backend systems and WWRE's applications. By leveraging large investments in the existing back-end systems, members can collaborate with their business partners through WWRE using an open and standard-based connection. WWRE Integration enables members to achieve increased efficiency and reduced cost by providing:

  • A single industry standard (EAN.UCC XML) data format for multiple business partners
  • A single (communication) pipe to multiple business partners
  • Reduction in manual tasks
  • Fewer errors and reworks
  • A real-time data exchange

Business Benefits Resulting From Integrating to WWRE® Applications

WWRE online applications allow members to effectively source, procure, and collaborate with their business partners online. With WWRE Integration, members can receive purchase-related transactions from WWRE® Order Execution to update their financial systems to make electronic payments. Members' supply chain planning system can upload and download forecast data to and from Collaborative Planner. Members' item master catalog can be automatically updated from multiple suppliers through one interface (DX).

Business Benefits Resulting From DX Integration:
Synchronized item information including pricing, description, and inventory using EAN.UCC XML resulting in:

  • A central standard point of integration with business partners
  • Reduced data discrepancy
  • Increased sales
  • Improved inventory control
  • Reduced invoice deduction

Business Benefits Resulting From eProcurement Integration:
WWRE Integration automatically sends purchase related transactions including PO, PO Change, PO Ack, Invoice, Advance Shipping Notice (ASN) and Receipt. WWRE Integration can receive and route XML Purchase Order Acknowledgements (PO Ack), Advance Shipping Notices (ASN) and invoices from the suppliers to retailers. This provides:

  • Decreased cost and time to make payments for retailers (two- or three-way matching)
  • Increased transaction visibility for retailers
  • Reduced PO processing for suppliers
  • Improved customer support provided by suppliers

Business Benefits Resulting From VICS-CPFR®* Integration:
Increasing reliability and decreases cost and time needed to send and receive large forecast and product activity data files. Also provides support to EAN.UCC XML for forecast data.
