Local Catalog Providers
LCP Readiness Assessment
A goal of the Global Data Synchronization (GDS) model is to have only one Source Data Pool per manufacturer and retailer. Outside of North America this picture is much more complicated with many regional data pools and Local Catalog Providers (LCPs) in existence across several different countries. These regional providers bridge the need to meet local requirements while supporting the migration to global standards. Many are building ‘adapters’ to support on boarding of supplier data to exchanges and the global registry.
The WWRE's WorldSYNC Data Exchange (DX) solution is a key part of GDS that provides retailers and suppliers with a single point of entry into to the global network, as well as connection to WWRE's direct member network. DX is a complete content management system and synch engine based on global standards, enabling a user to send and receive quality, secure item data.
The WWRE has established a vast global network of connected DP/LCPs in Asia/Pacific, Europe, North and South America. A DX user has the power to reach the global pool of data reaching across multiple countries in one single entry point. Listed below are the Data Pools and Local Catalog Providers that are part of the broader DX network.
