In November 2004, Retek Inc. acquired Syncra Systems, who powers the WWRE Collaborative Planner solution using the Syncra Xt platform. Syncra’s products have since been re-branded and positioned relative to Retek’s broad suite of software solutions. On April 5, 2005, Oracle Corporation announced its acquisition of Retek, Inc. Oracle has communicated to both customers and partners that it sees tremendous value in the Retek solution suite, including the Retek Syncra Exchange product (which powers WWRE Collaborative Planner). Oracle plans to retain the Retek branding and product families. This ensures that WWRE Collaborative Planner remains available to implement with no disruption. WWRE looks forward to working with Oracle in driving adopton of collaborative solutions.
