Christopher Sellers , Chief Executive Officer
WWRE Responsibilities - Christopher K. Sellers is the Chief Executive Officer for the WorldWide Retail Exchange (WWRE), the premier B2B exchange for retailers and suppliers. CEO of the WWRE since January of 2005, Chris is responsible for the overall strategic direction and performance of the WWRE.
Past Experience - Sellers' 22-year information technology, consulting and business process transformation career encompasses a broad range of business development, management and executive level positions, primarily focused on the consumer goods/retail industry. Highlights include being a co-founder and president of Syncra Systems, Inc., a multinational technology company and WWRE solution partner, where he led the definition, development and building of the marketplace for inter-enterprise retail collaboration, and more than four years as CEO and managing director of Information Resources, Inc.'s UK Company, IRI InfoScan (the Bracknell , England-based research and technology company). While at Information Resources, he built the company to 45 percent share of market and developed next-generation retail tracking and management technologies.
Education - Sellers' education includes his presidential appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy where he majored in Communications. He also attended the University of California , pursuing coursework in marketing and communications. He serves on the board of directors for State BankCorp and the Voluntary Inter-industry Commerce Standards (VICS) CPFR executive board.
Robert Heaton, Chief Financial Officer
WWRE
Responsibilities - Robert Heaton is
the Chief Financial Officer for the WorldWide
Retail Exchange (WWRE), the premier B2B
exchange for retailers and suppliers in
all of their commercial interactions. CFO
of the WWRE since October 2000, Robert
joined the Exchange as a member consultant
and was closely involved with the financial
aspects of establishing the WWRE.
In his role as CFO, Robert is responsible
for all aspects of the organization's financial
management, including financial planning,
payroll, accounting, budget, treasury and
tax. Under his direction, Robert has managed
to keep the WWRE operating under budget,
while members' savings continue to surpass
goals.
Past Experience - Robert brings
over 15 years of financial leadership to
his role at the WWRE. Previously, Robert
was a senior vice president and controller
at U.S. Office Products in Washington, DC.
He also spent 13 years at Target Corporation
in finance and operations, ultimately serving
as the vice president of financial planning
and analysis.
Education - Robert holds a bachelor's
degree in accounting and Chinese and a master's
of business administration from Brigham Young
University in Provo, Utah.
Nick Parnaby Senior Vice President, Global Marketing & Collaborative Professional Services
WWRE Responsibilities -
Nick Parnaby is the Chief Marketing Officer at the WorldWide Retail Exchange. He joined the Exchange in June 2001 to lead the exchange's global supplier and manufacturer recruitment initiative. Making significant inroads into this area, Nick has now also assumed responsibilities for company-wide marketing activity and the development of WWRE member capabilities through a unique eLearning function known as the WWRE University.
Past Experience -
Prior to the WWRE, Nick worked with CSC Consulting, a division of Computer Sciences Corp. At CSC he was responsible for sales and delivery of client consulting and systems integration engagements in the UK, USA, India and Europe. Before leaving CSC's San Francisco consulting division to join the WWRE, Nick spent two years focusing on market exchanges and B2B strategy for both startup and blue chip clients. Nick's prior employer, Lucas Engineering & Systems was acquired by CSC in 1995, where he was responsible for large scale manufacturing change initiatives in both automotive and CPG organizations - this included improvement initiatives across manufacturing systems, strategic sourcing and the new product introduction process. At Lavigna International in the UK, Nick worked as Marketing Research Manager, responsible for a promotional business unit involving British and German car manufacturers.
Education - Nick holds a Masters Degree in Marketing from the University of the West of England, Bristol in the UK. His undergraduate qualification in Computing and Software Engineering was acquired from the University of Northumbria, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, in the UK.
Nihat Arkan
Senior Vice President - Europe / Asia
WWRE Responsibilities - Nihat Arkan has been with WWRE since its inception in 2001 and is currently the SVP of Sales for our Asia-Pacific and European regions. In this role, Mr. Arkan is directly responsible for the member engagement and product implementation process, management of Asia-Pacific and European offices and staff, regional marketing & sales activities, and the Strategic positioning of WWRE tools and services in these regions.
In addition to his Asia-Pacific related activities, Mr. Arkan has been advising WWRE in global item management, strategic B2B activities as well as on collaborative product development initiatives.
Past Experience - Prior to joining the WWRE, Mr. Arkan spent 15 years in international logistics, finance, supply chain and working with Internet based tracking development programs. Mr. Arkan worked extensively with global clients in Europe, Central Asia and in Asia-Pacific.
Education - Mr. Arkan holds a MBA degree in international economics from Averett College as well as a post-graduate license degree on international finance. Mr. Arkan actively teaches classes in international business and finance in various colleges.
